the process of creating this yearbook was almost 3/4 of the way finished,
the hard drive that contained all the information "crashed." Unfortunately,
because of the amount of memory required to store all the photos (its the
best excuse we could come up with), the information was not backed-up onto
anything else. A crash hard drive can be anything from a corrupted or misplaced
information to something much more serious. It was the more serious problem
that our hard drive ran into. Our drive had several corrupt files, but it
also had some mechanical problems. We took the hard drive to Advanced Data
Solutions to see if they could save our work. The estimate was around $600
--- Since our yearbook is a donated effort (no one profits from the book)
we told them that we would just have to forget the yearbook this year. It
was then that Joe Cruz cut his bill in half and took an offer of some old
broken hard drives as payment. He did it so "the children could have
a yearbook." A special thanks goes to Joe Cruz and the crew at Advanced
Data Solutions for their generous contribution to this yearbook."
