They are very convenient, portable and easy to use but, are prone to beening easily damaged.

Some of the most common problems we see are:
 

• When the USB Memory stick has been bent:
  As one can image, the memory stick, when inserted into the computer, sticks out a few inches and is prone to being bent by accident.

      When a memory stick is bent, circuit traces can be lifted or severed, components can be also           lifted or broken. Many a times, the memory stick is too far gone and if possible, we've need to           remove the memory chips and pull the data from there. 

 

Memory sticks not being properly ejected:
Pulling out a memory stick, from the computer, without properly ejecting from the desktop, can eventually damage and corrupt the file structure and then you'll have logical problems.

 

• Being roughly treated -dropped - tossed - brut handing:
  Can lead to cracked solder joints and damage components, which in turn can lead to intermittent operations, which can eventually damage firmware and file structure and cause corruption.
